Heineken plans to spend $2.75 billion in Mexico throughout the period from 2028 to 2028 according to the local CEO of the company.

The investment plan includes building a new brewery in Yucatán state which will start with 4 million hectoliters production capacity but has the potential to reach double that amount in the future. Heineken Mexico CEO Oriol Bonaclocha stated that the company maintains no plans to shut down any factories because this represents an expansion initiative.

The investment demonstrates how vital the Mexican beer market remains for international brewing companies. Grupo Modelo announced in April that it would invest $3.6 billion even though the region faces water scarcity issues.
