Michael Sansoterra who serves as CIO at Silvant Capital Management expressed his worries about President Trump’s unpredictable tariff policies which he believes create disturbances in global trade and economic stability. The Virtus Silvant Focused Growth Fund under Michael Sansoterra’s management has delivered better results than the Russell 1000 Growth Index throughout 3, 5, 10 and 15-year periods through disciplined stock selection.

The fund achieves its success by concentrating on long-term fundamentals while refraining from reactive trading during periods of tariff-induced market volatility. Sansoterra identifies Nvidia and Apple and a cruise-line operator as investment opportunities but he did not reveal specific details about these companies. The AI leadership of Nvidia combined with Apple’s ecosystem power and cruise-line recovery from pandemic-related demand changes match his approach to find enduring growth stocks.

The market instability caused by Trump’s 10% global tariffs and 145% China-specific levies does not affect Sansoterra’s investment strategy because he selects companies with solid fundamentals. His 28 years of experience demonstrate how disciplined investing remains essential during market turbulence while providing investors with a strategy to handle economic uncertainty caused by trade policy changes.
