Comcast launched a new soccer-focused video bundle which targets sports enthusiasts before major tournaments including the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The “World Soccer Ticket” package costs $85 per month and provides Xfinity customers with 60 channels and a premium Peacock subscription. The service provides complete World Cup match coverage in English through Fox and Spanish through Telemundo and Universo and Peacock.
The package delivers broadcasts from top international leagues and tournaments which include Premier League, UEFA Champions League, LaLiga, Liga MX and CONCACAF Champions Cup. The package includes coverage of major sports events including NFL and NBA games.
The package is available through X1 set-top boxes and the Xfinity Stream app on supported devices. The new offering aims to increase Peacock’s paid subscriber base to 41 million while enhancing Comcast’s sports streaming capabilities.
Traditional TV revenue decreases have led media companies to actively acquire sports broadcasting rights. The newly formed Paramount acquired exclusive UFC rights in the United States through a $7.7 billion seven-year agreement this week.
